It was the introductory call with Amrit, which convinced me that he was the consultant that I needed to work with. Immediately he was extremely warm and made me feel comfortable. We were able to immediately talk about my background and figure out a roadmap for my target schools.

What stood out about him and his approach to the process was:

a) He can maintain the perfect balance of structure as well as freedom. He believes in calling a spade a spade and that is very important for the application process so that you don’t get ahead of yourself.

b) Despite working alone, he has a very quick turnaround. Usually, emails sent late into the night would have early morning replies and we would be able to talk and finalize things by afternoon on the same day

c) He was available on short notice and for extended periods to brainstorm ideas and he would genuinely listen and help refine the stories. During these sessions, I was able to bring out things to connect the dots and make the stories more targeted as per the requirements of the schools.

d) During my interview preparation, he wasn’t keeping well yet he would always take out time to help me prep by taking mock interviews and also having debriefs with me explaining the areas that I needed to work on.

To top it all off, he has a very friendly and humorous demeanor and in every call we would discuss cricket, making the entire application process fun! I would strongly recommend Amrit to anyone who’s looking for a consultant to help you get the best out of you and take you over the line.
